Emberfall Chronicles
Emberfall Chronicles is the kind of RPG that respects your time without watering down the adventure. You play a reluctant cartographer who gets dragged into a slow-burning conflict, and the writing has enough personality to make the long travel sequences worth reading. The turn-based combat uses a stamina system instead of mana, which forces you to think about pacing rather than spamming big attacks.
Character building is generous. You can respec cheaply, so experimenting with party roles never feels punishing. We spent a good while swapping our tank into a support role just to see how the fights changed, and the game handled it gracefully.
The one complaint is that the mid-game sags a little when you grind for a few levels. Push through it and the final act pays off. Battery drain is reasonable for a game this detailed.
